It tells about the author Edith Eger,her prison life in Nazi camps,life after the freedom, her marriage, her sessions as a counselor.Her counselling cases were particularly unique and how these people dealt with their problems was interesting. One of the key takeaways was how people constantly victimize themselves, fearful of their actions, creating a virtual prison and living in it, in each of the cases that she describes its always the choices that one makes that eventually leads to a happy and fulfilling life.Not as great as I wanted it to be,but still found the book to be a compelling read
