One of the fantasy novels from Rainbow Rowell, it was a very fun read.I particularly like the UK royal settings,it definitely has a certain charm which is beautifully captured by the author. It is almost like the Harry Potter rewritten with the central characters of Harry, Ron and Hermione replaced with Simon, Baz and Penelope.It definitely altered their relationships with Simon and Baz getting the romantic angle. Magical settings with the quirky magical elements definitely works well with the story. Normally,the characters having the predetermined destinations like the chosen ones have incredible power and intelligence.Author breaks this cliche with Simon being the worst chosen one and messes up all the time. Baz being the vampire boyfriend was a good addition and Penelope constantly created the humor angle in the story. It also has a good representation of LGBT. Funny and magical,thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audiobook version of Carry On.
