A feel good story that happens in a day and revovles around a Korean boy and Jamaican girl. One of the impressive things about this story is it intercuts to other side characters and we get to know their side of the stories. It brings well Daniel and Natasha’s dreams and how it is difficult to achieve their dreams with their different cultural identities. It also has little snippets discussing love and science theories that I liked. With each character describing their experiences, listening it as an audiobook enhanced my reading experience. Though the final ending feels like a disappoinment, our life journey would sometimes have these unexpected twists and this is why their relation feels all the more amusing.
“Stars are important,” I say, laughing.”Sure, but why not more poems about the sun? The sun is also a star, and it’s our most important one. That alone should be worth a poem or two.” ―

The Sun Is Also a Star
